Burgers, Mermaids and Cherry Pie.. Oh My!!
My mom has this friend Delores. Delores and my mom have been friends longer than I've been alive. My girls would say, "Wow mom, that's a LONG time"! I can count on Delores to call me during any milestone in my life and sing a song about it to the tune of Happy Birthday. My brother can count on her telling anyone within hearing distance that she used to change his dirty diapers - she especially loved telling that to any girl he brought around growing up! I love getting together with her because all we do is laugh. My girls love getting together with her because she NEVER comes empty handed!! She makes Santa look like small potatoes! Not too long ago she gave them a play dough set. They love it! I love watching them be creative!

Spa Sleepover Birthday Party
For Madi's 9th Birthday we decided to have a Spa Party. I always feel bad for her because in February it's too cold to do any kind of fun outdoor party but I think we managed to pull off some fun indoors with this one!
I wanted to come up with a creative logo for our sign. I took this idea from the perfume Chanel No. 5. I've never even smelled that particular perfume before. Now that I've copied their name sort of maybe
I should! :)
The sign was easy to make. I drew off the logo with a black Sharpie and painted it in with water color paints. I mounted it onto poster board and hot glued a blue feather boa around the sides.

Each girl got to make their own scented body scrub to take home in their goody bag.
The recipe was simple. Epsom salt, olive oil and a few drops of scented oil. Stir together and put in a glass jar or other resealable type container.

Pretty finger and toe nails! I love the crazy color combinations they all chose. Not one was exactly the same. Sweet girls and a fun party. Happy 9th Birthday Madison!
